About me
Welcome to my nature photography website.
Born and raised in Hamburg, I have been living at the foot of the Swabian Alb in
Baden-Württemberg for 21 years now, together with my husband and my two children.
But as often as possible I travel to Africa and pursue my passion there.

Many years ago I did an internship of several months in Nairobi after my law studies, I
explored Kenya intensively during this time and then traveled independently for
another three months all the way to Cape Town. Since that time I have been fascinated
by the continent. Further trips followed, during which I hiked Kilimanjaro or followed
my childhood dream in Uganda to observe wild chimpanzees and gorillas in their
natural habitat. Always with me was my camera. Little by little, fascination turned into
passion and the more time I spent in nature there, the greater became my desire to
inspire others and to share my experiences through photography.

Although I am equally interested in the shapes and colors of our native mountain
and coastal landscapes, my focus is on African wildlife photography. In our fast-paced,
structured time, there is hardly any room to pause. In the African bush, on the other
hand, the cycle of nature becomes visible, it is the small and the big dramas of the
diverse animal world that one can experience there and which - especially in nature
photography - require one thing: Time and patience. Those who get involved will find
both peace and freedom, and that's why I'm drawn there again and again.
Originally started in eastern Africa, I now spend most of my time in southern African
countries.
I hope you enjoy my pictures.
